Deion Sanders’ name is being brought about a head coaching vacancy once again. This time it has to do with Georgia Tech.

The Yellow Jackets let go of Geoff Collins, and Carl Reed of 247Sports listed some potential replacements for the opening. Sanders was among a number of people who got mentioned for the job.

Georgia RB coach Dell McGee, Coastal Carolina HC Jamey Caldwell, and Florida State OL/OC coach Alex Adkins were the other coaches besides Sanders that Reed mentioned as potential candidates.

Sanders is 18-5 so far as Jackson State’s HC. His name was mentioned by FOX Sports analyst R.J. Young, and the fans as someone to watch for the Nebraska HC opening.

Sanders is quite familiar with the city of Atlanta. He played for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves at the same time during the 90’s.

Collins went 10-28 while he was the head coach at Georgia Tech. Collins’ tenure there was from 2019-2022.
