Two teams trending in very different directions square off in Bloomington this Saturday.

On one side is Michigan State, surprisingly undefeated and up to No. 10 on the latest AP Poll. The Spartans look drastically better in Year 2 for Mel Tucker and are led by a trio of offensive playmakers in Payton Thorne, Kenneth Walker III, and Jayden Reed. Oh, and wide receiver Jalen Nailer just had a record-breaking performance.

On the other side is Indiana. At 2-3, the Hoosiers have faced injuries and a gauntlet of a schedule early to start the season. That schedule doesn’t get any easier with games against the Spartans and Ohio State in back-to-back weeks.

Heading into the week, ESPN’s FPI has updated the odds for the game, and Michigan State is a clear favorite. The FPI is giving the Spartans a 66.7% chance of coming away with the win.

Indiana has had a bye week to rest and prepare for the Spartans while Michigan State knocked off Rutgers in Week 6. Can Tucker get Michigan State to 7-0 heading into the bye, or will Tom Allen’s Hoosiers get a signature upset in October?

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 12 pm EST on FS1.
