ESPN’s FPI updates odds to win B1G following Week 12
We have reached Week 13 which means there are just two more weekends left in the regular season of college football!
To some teams, the season has likely flown by. For others, the year is dragging to a merciful end. Though the season started with plenty of championship hopefuls, the race for the B1G Championship is currently down to really four teams after Week 12.
Minnesota’s loss to Iowa over the weekend as opened the B1G West once again to Wisconsin. The Gophers still hold their own destiny and can advance to Indianapolis by winning out. However, the Badgers and Gophers square off on the final day of the season, and Wisconsin would win the division with wins over Purdue and Minnesota.

In the B1G East, Saturday’s game between Penn State and Ohio State will shape that division race. A win by the Buckeyes guarantees a trip to Indy as the East representative as they would have an undefeated record and two-game cushion over Michigan and Penn State with a game remaining.
Heading into Week 13, ESPN’s FPI has updated the odds to win the B1G. Minnesota’s loss has vaulted Wisconsin into the No. 2 spot on the odds, but Ohio State still occupies the top spot by a wide margin.
Here are the top four teams:
- Ohio State – 74.4%
- Wisconsin – 11.1%
- Penn State – 10.0%
- Minnesota – 4.5%
