Jim Harbaugh says RB situation still in limbo, updates status of injured OL Andrew Steuber
Week 0 is over.
Week 1 is ahead for college football, which means practically every team is getting ready for its first game of the 2019 season. Ahead of Michigan’s season-opener against Middle Tennessee on Saturday, Aug. 31 at home, coach Jim Harbaugh spoke with the media about a number of topics.
One was with the running back situation. The Wolverines have a plethora of capable backs they can utilize on any given Saturday, but, who will be the primary guy?

No decision on No. 1 running back yet — Harbaugh
— angelique (@chengelis) August 26, 2019
Well, there you have it. As far as an official depth chart goes, good luck finding that. Harbaugh doesn’t give depth charts out to the public too often.
Michigan has Tru Wilson, Zach Charbonnet (an incoming 4-star freshman RB recruit) and Christian Turner is a capable body. There are others of course as well.
As far as who the main ball-carrier will go, Harbaugh hasn’t made a decision yet. And to be honest, there may never be a decision on that. Whoever is running the best may get the crunch-time carries when the time comes.
Outside of the RB position, Harbaugh also talked about his offensive line and Andrew Steuber in particular:

Steuber, an offensive tackle, has been announced to be out for the year. This of course hurts Michigan’s OL as a whole, but the Wolverines do have Jaylen Mayfield, who will likely be the team’s starting right tackle.
