Kirk Herbstreit reveals Top 6 teams in college football after Week 4

Kirk Herbstreit has updated his top six teams in college football after Week 4 action.

Penn State is the only Big Ten squad to make the cut. The Nittany Lions have two ranked wins already this season and took care of business on Saturday vs. Villanova to move to 4-0.

Iowa is a notable omission from this list. The Hawkeyes also have two ranked wins on the year — vs. Indiana and Iowa State. However, neither of those teams are expected to be ranked when the new AP Top 25 poll comes out on Sunday.

Alabama, Georgia and Oregon seems to be a consensus top three from most analyst as the calendar flips to October. Florida, who has a close loss to the Crimson Tide on its résumé, and Cincinnati round out Herbstreit’s top six.

Paul Finebaum put out a similar list on Sunday morning. He had an identical top four with Iowa coming in at No. 5 as an honorable mention.
