Mel Kiper Jr. updates 2022 Mock Draft, features 6 B1G stars as first-round picks
Mel Kiper Jr. has updated his mock for the 2022 NFL Draft, and he has fewer players out of the B1G coming off the board in the first round.
In his previous mock draft, Kiper had 9 B1G stars coming off the board in the first round. Now, in his 3.0 mock draft for ESPN, Kiper has 6 B1G players in the first round.
With the NFL Combine in the rearview mirror and free agency underway, Kiper revisited his previous mock draft with some new insight. With some of the early decisions by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kiper once again has Jacksonville selecting Michigan pass-rusher Aidan Hutchinson No. 1 overall.
The players no longer projected as first-round picks by Kiper are pass-rushers in Michigan’s David Ojabo, Penn State’s Arnold Ebiketie, and Minnesota’s Boye Mafe.
Here are the 6 players out of the B1G on Kiper’s latest mock draft:
- 1. Jacksonville Jaguars – Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan
- 8. Atlanta Falcons – Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
- 14. Baltimore Ravens – Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
- 16. Philadelphia Eagles – Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
- 25. Buffalo Bills – Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
- 30. Kansas City Chiefs – George Karlaftis, DE, Purdue
