For much of the offseason, Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson was regarded to be the likely top pick. Though all Hutchinson did at the NFL Combine was prove his athleticism, a fellow pass-rusher has been rising up draft boards.
In Charles Davis’ 2.0 mock draft for NFL.com, he has Georgia’s Travon Walker surpassing Hutchinson for the top overall pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars. That’s a belief that was echoed by fellow NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein in his latest mock draft.
While Davis has Hutchinson sliding out of the top spot, he does have the Wolverine product staying in Michigan and going to the Detroit Lions. Here are the B1G prospects Davis has going in the first round:
- No. 2 Detroit Lions – Aidan Hutchinson, Edge, Michigan
- No. 11 Washington Commanders – Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
- No. 14 Baltimore Ravens – Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
- No. 16 New Orleans Saints – Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
- No. 22 Green Bay Packers – Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
- No. 26 Tennessee Titans – George Karlaftis, Edge, Purdue
- No. 30 Kansas City Chiefs – Boye Mafe, Edge, Minnesota
