The arrests happened after police say they smashed a window and stole multiple weapons.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly issued a statement on the matter and has released Bartleson of his Letter of Intent to play football for the Fighting Irish.

“After reviewing all f the facts available to us and speaking with the Bartleson family, we informed them that Landen will no longer be welcomed as a member of our football program,” Kelly said in a statement.  “This incident is very much out of character for the man we have come to know and we wish Landen and his family well.”

Bartleson was a three-star prospect out of Danville and was ranked as the No. 29 athlete in the class, and No. 555 overall in the 2020 recruiting cycle. He held offers from 10 programs, including Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State and Purdue.
