One ESPN analyst is actually against CFB Playoff expansion
The College Football Playoff is set. The four-team field has been unveiled and the two semifinal games are taking place on ESPN on Saturday, Dec. 28.
Most people want to see an expansion of the playoff. Many like the idea of an eight-team playoff so that every conference can be represented as well as a Group of Five team, potentially.

However, do we really need expansion? Would it water down the regular season?

Here’s David Pollack, an ESPN analyst who appeared on Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski’s weekly radio show, talking about how he doesn’t want the field to take on more teams:
“If you look at this year, just right now, would you really want to see an 8-team Playoff?” Pollack asked. “I know I wouldn’t. There wouldn’t be very many competitive games at all. It would just be beatdown after beatdown.”
