Oregon, Penn State release pre-Big Ten Championship status reports
Oregon and Penn State were set to clash in the Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday night in Indianapolis, and their pregame availability reports did not include some key players who’ve recently missed time.
Oregon did not list starting offensive lineman Marcus Harper II, who has not played since suffering a knee injury against Michigan on Nov. 2. On Saturday morning, Harper’s latest post on social media implied that the lineman would suit up against the Nittany Lions.
Harper posted a picture of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with the caption: “It’s Time.” The Ducks’ availability report seemed to back up that it’s indeed time for Harper’s return to the lineup.
Oregon also did not list star defensive end Jordan Burch or standout wide receiver Tez Johnson, who both returned for the regular-season finale last week against Washington. The Ducks did list defensive back Jahlil Florence and defensive lineman My’Keil Gardner as out, and defensive lineman Tionne Gray as questionable.
Not listed on Penn State’s report was star wide receiver Harrison Wallace III, who missed last week’s regular-season finale against Maryland. Wallace is important to the passing attack as Penn State’s top wideout this season.
Listed as out for the Nittany Lions for Saturday night were: Kevin Winston Jr., Kaden Saunders, Cam Wallace, Keon Wylie, Zuriah Fisher, Alonzo Ford, Kaleb Artis, Anthony Donkoh and Andrew Rappleyeah. Penn State also listed Dakaari Nelson as questionable.
The Ducks and Nittany Lions will kick things off at shortly after 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS from Lucas Oil Stadium.
