The USC head coaching vacancy has been a hot button topic across the college football landscape. The search for the next USC head coach has spanned far and wide.

A current B1G coach reportedly has interest, and a former B1G coach now in the NFL weighed in on the job. Additionally, a retired Big 12 coach is being discussed and gave his opinion on the opportunity.

A new name being thrown out would be a splashy hire in a city famous for stars. USC legend Reggie Bush is advocating for Deion Sanders to take over the reigns.

“I do believe there is a coach out there that can help restore USC to its greatness,” Bush said on Big Noon Kickoff, via 247Sports. “I believe Deion Sanders can be that person.”

Sanders is currently the head coach at Jackson State. Jackson State went 4-3 in Sanders’ first season and is off to a 2-0 record this season. The former defensive back is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.

USC fired Clay Helton on Sept. 13. Helton posted a 46-24 record during his tenure at USC.
