Report confirms B1G announcement coming Tuesday
There’s more confidence that the B1G will announce its decision on a fall football season at some point in the day on Tuesday.
Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported on Tuesday that an announcement will be coming at some point in the afternoon or at night from the B1G. And it sounds like good news.
Potrykus tweeted out the confirmation on Tuesday. His report came a few hours after University of Nebraska President Ted Carter was caught on a hot mic saying that an announcement was planned for the football season on Tuesday.
Nebraska president Ted Carter leaked news earlier that the B1G is set to announce it's 2020 football plan today. This is confirmed. Polls are closed. Votes are in. Time for #Badgers fans and their pals across the league to celebrate.

The B1G was the first Power 5 conference to announce a decision on postponing the fall football season. However, as new medical information became available, the league was willing to listen to return-to-competition plans. And it sounds like all of those meetings have gone well thus far.
October 17 has been the reported target date for the B1G, but there’s been no mention about a start date at this time from the league.
If the B1G does make its announcement on Tuesday, all of that information would be provided.
