Report: Joe Moorhead expected to rejoin Oregon staff following extended hospital stay
There’s good news coming from Oregon, as reports are that offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead is expected to return for this week’s game against Cal.
Ducks head coach Mario Cristobal had addressed the media on Thursday and gave an update on Moorhead, and reported he was back in Eugene and recovering.
According to college football insider Bruce Feldman, Moorhead is expected to coach again this week vs. Cal.

Moorhead required emergency surgery for a “non-COVID related” illness and had to spend time in a Bay Area hospital, resulting in his missing the Ducks game with Stanford, which they lost.
For much of the game against the Cardinal, the Ducks offense appeared sluggish and QB Anthony Brown had difficulty getting anything going in the passing game. The Ducks did eventually take a fourth-quarter lead, but the slow start would prove costly in the end.
No. 8 Oregon hosts Cal on Friday, Oct. 15, with a 10:30 PM kickoff.
