The USC head coaching vacancy has been a major talking point across the college football landscape this week. A current B1G coach reportedly has interest, and a former B1G coach weighed in on the job.

Now, it’s a retired Big 12 coach getting asked about the position.

Former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops gave an interesting answer about his USC candidacy:

Stoops is an inductee of the College Football Hall of Fame. Stoops guided Oklahoma from 1999-2016, capturing the national title in 2000 and 10 Big 12 championships. Stoops was the Walter Camp Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2003. Stoops earned Big 12 Coach of the Year six times.

USC fired Clay Helton on Sept. 13. Helton posted a 46-24 record during his tenure at USC.
