Minnesota and Iowa will take center stage in the B1G this Saturday.

After the Gophers were in the spotlight last weekend against Penn State, they must now quickly regroup for a tough trip to Kinnick Stadium. Unfortunately, the Hawkeyes suffered their third loss of the season last week, but those three losses came by a total of 14 points. Add in the fact that Kirk Ferentz and company love to pull a late-season upset, P.J. Fleck and Minnesota must be on high alert for the road trip.

ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt featured the ranked showdown for his weekly against the spread picks, and he went with the Hawkeyes -3 against the Gophers. SVP highlighted the fact that Minnesota hasn’t won in Iowa City in a very long time (since 1999, to be exact).

“Also, I believe Iowa wins the game, which is a good thing because they’re a favorite,” explained SVP. “They’re laying three to Minnesota. The Gophers have a history-making year underway. Salute to them. They haven’t won in Kinnick in forever. I believe Iowa gives them their first ‘L’ of the season.”

The Gophers have done a good job of flipping the script throughout their 9-0 start. Can they do it again in Kinnick Stadium, or will Iowa pick up its signature upset for the year? Kickoff is set for 4 pm EST on FOX.
