SEC football fans melt down on social media over 'B1G on CBS' intro music
SEC football fans are going to need a period of adjustment over the next few years.
On Thursday, the B1G announced a historic media rights agreement for the conference across multiple broadcast partners. As a part of that agreement, CBS will be broadcasting the B1G with the network revealing a hype video for the coverage.

That intro music for CBS is particularly notable and is iconic throughout the southeast as the longstanding introduction for the “SEC on CBS” game of the week. With the network shifting conferences, it looks like that intro will become a staple across the B1G.
Needless to say, that news is not sitting well with fans in the SEC. See for yourself:

I'm upset that this violates the Hallowed Sacred SEC CBS Theme Song. But not as upset as watching Georgia play Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl game

B1G coverage on CBS will debut in 2023. In 2024, the coverage will expand to include a 15-game regular-season slate, including a Black Friday contest. CBS will also have two B1G Championship Game broadcasts over the life of the deal.
