Tez Johnson suffered an upper-body injury in Oregon’s road win against Michigan on Saturday.

The star receiver had to leave the game and was clearly favoring his right shoulder as he left the field. Johnson later appeared on the sideline with his arm in a sling.

As of Sunday morning, there’s been no official update from Oregon on his status. But Johnson did share this message on his Instagram story on Sunday:

That certainly doesn’t seem like encouraging news for the Ducks.

The CBS broadcast at the time speculated that he may be dealing with a shoulder or collarbone injury. If Johnson has to miss significant time due to this development, he would be a massive loss for Oregon’s offense.

Johnson is Oregon’s leading receiver so far this season with 649 yards and 8 touchdowns on the year. He’s 5th amongst all Big Ten receivers in yardage and he’s second in the conference with 64 receptions.

With Johnson sidelined on Saturday, Traeshon Holden stepped up in his place. He caught 6 passes for 149 yards in the 38-17 win over Michigan.

Dan Lanning will presumably give an official update on Johnson’s health at a later date. Oregon will host Maryland in Week 11.
