The B1G did something in Week 1 it hadn't accomplished in over 100 years
History was made in the B1G in 2019, and it only took one week to see it happen.
On Saturday, Maryland and Penn State were just two teams who dominated their competition on Saturday, but they were by far the most dominant on the field. The Nittany Lions posted a 79-7 victory over Idaho while Maryland pummeled Howard 79-0.
In all honesty, both teams could’ve probably hit the 100-point mark if they really wanted to.
Those two high-scoring affairs marked the first time in a long time multiple teams lit up the scoreboard that much. According to Big Ten Network, Saturday marked the first time sine 1915 that two or more teams scored 75 points or more on the same weekend.
Yesterday, the B1G had multiple teams score 75+ for the first time since '15.

Considering how difficult it is to score that many points in a football game, it’s not too stunning. However, a 100-year gap between the two occurrences seems significant.
We may not see anything like that again for a few more years.
