The first week of college basketball provided a lot of excitement and that meant some big changes to the AP top 25 for Week 1.

Villanova went down to Virginia Tech which made them slide down from the No. 3 spot and moving up to that spot for this week is Iowa. The Hawkeyes ended up demolishing Southern on Friday to get to 2-0 on the season behind a dominant performance from Luka Garza.

Wisconsin and Illinois are also in the top five as they’ve started their season 2-0 and 3-0 respectively. Illinois in particular won two of their first three games by 55 or more points which is almost unheard of.

Michigan State at No. 8 gave the conference four the top 10 teams in the nation, by far the highest number from a single conference. Ohio State at No. 23 and Rutgers at No. 24 were the other B1G teams on the poll.

With all that being said, here’s a look at the latest rankings which came out today:

#1 Gonzaga

#2 Baylor

#3 Iowa

#4 Wisconsin

#5 Illinois
