Week 3 B1G picks against the spread

Sometimes there’s a team you just have to cut ties with.

Earlier this week, ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt vowed to never utter Rutgers’ name again in his “Winners” segment after picking the Scarlet Knights to cover a 35.5-point spread against Ohio State. A 52-3 blowout loss to the Buckeyes severed that relationship.

I might have to make that same call with Wisconsin. Two weeks in a row the Badgers have failed to cover spreads that should’ve been guaranteed winners. In Week 1, they failed to cover a 36-point spread against Western Kentucky. Last Saturday, they fell short of covering as a 35-point favorite vs. New Mexico.

I’m not ready to give up on Wisconsin, but we’re on a break this week. But enough about me, here are our Week 3 B1G picks against the spread (spreads via MyBookie).

Overall record (Week 2 record)

Connor O’Gara: 13-11 (5-7)
Andrew Kulha: 11-13 (6-6)
Dustin Schutte: 10-14 (6-6)
