Illinois quarterback Artur Sitkowski started slowly against UT San Antonio, but he’s trying to heat up before halftime.

After getting shut out in the first quarter, Sitkowski started to find a rhythm with the offense. His first big play came on a deep ball to Deuce Spann that went for the first touchdown of the night.

Later in the quarter, Sitkowski found tight end Daniel Barker in a similar fashion. Barker was wide open down the left side and in the corner of the end zone.

It was an easy pitch-and-catch for six points:

After throwing for 2 touchdowns in relief of Brandon Peters last week, Sitkowski now has 4 touchdowns to start the season. That ties the career-high for Sitkowski from his freshman season at Rutgers in 2018. The way things are going, he’ll set a new mark soon.
