Brad Underwood spoke about how Luke Goode is doing at Friday’s press conference. Goode recently had surgery to repair a broken foot.

While it’s unclear at this time as to how long Goode is going to be out, Underwood offered a positive update. The surgery was a success and Goode is doing fine.

“Luke Goode had a positive surgery,” said Underwood. “There wasn’t anything that was more complicated or complex. It was pretty much straight forward. He’s in the recovery process. The doctors gave him a pretty stringent plan.”

Underwood also stated that Goode is going to be re-evaluated in six weeks from now. Goode was supposed to be having an expanded role with Illinois this season.

He averaged 2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.5 assists for the Fighting Illini last season. Goode also made 32.7% of his shots and 37.2% of his attempted three-pointers.

Stay tuned for more updates about Goode throughout the season.
