Illinois has turned in a big weekend on the recruiting trail, picking up a trio of commitments for the class of 2023 on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, it was OT Rico Jackson out of Florida. Jackson is a 3-star lineman for the cycle listed at 6-foot-6 and 295 lbs.

After that, it was Edge prospect Pat Farrell. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 235 lbs., Farrell is an in-state commitment out of Chicago.

The third commitment comes from Jamarrion Harkless, a defensive lineman out of Lexington, Kentucky. Harkless committed to the Illini over offers from Georgia, Cincinnati, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan and Purdue among others.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 290 lbs., Harkless has not been rated by the composite rankings. 247 Sports rates Harkless as a 3-star prospect, the No. 5 player out of Kentucky and the No. 69 DL nationally for the class of 2023.

With the addition of Harkless, Illinois’ class of 2023 has shot inside the top-30 in the country at 29th overall.
