An Illinois running back/wide receiver is the latest to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Rivals.com is reporting that Kyron Cumby has decided to explore his options outside of Champaign. He joins redshirt freshman offensive lineman Brevyn Jones, who is also looking at leaving the Illinois football program after one year.

Cumby spent two seasons with the Fighting Illini and is a redshirt freshman. He will have all four years of eligibility remaining at his next destination, assuming he doesn’t withdraw from the portal and return to the program.

Last season, Cumby appeared in five games and made one start at wide receiver. His lone start came against Nebraska and he finished the season with two punt returns for 40 yards and a pair of receptions for 11 yards.

During the 2019 season, Cumby played in four games and was able to retain his redshirt status. He totaled 2 catches for 31 yards and fielded 2 punts for 11 yards.
