LOOK: Illinois unveils dazzling Henry Dale & Betty Smith Football Center
Illinois just received a major upgrade to its football facilities.
Construction was recently completed on the brand new Henry Dale & Betty Smith Football Center. According to Bob Asmussen with The News-Gazette, the new facility carried a price tag of $80 million.
That is a hefty price tag for any renovation or building. However, the new facility helps elevate the football program to the standard carried by most B1G schools. (Indiana also unveiled impressive renovations to its football facility this year, as did Ohio State.) It contains entertainment options such as a bowling alley and barbershop alongside a state of the art weight room and sports medicine area.
