Indiana heads into Saturday’s Outback Bowl looking to finish the season on a high note.

After a 6-1 regular season, Tom Allen and the Hoosiers have plenty of motivation squaring off against Ole Miss in Tampa. The strong season had plenty of highlights but ultimately ended with the B1G bypassing Indiana for the B1G Championship Game and then watching as the Hoosiers slid from a potential New Year’s Six game to the Outback Bowl.

Whether or not those decisions led Indiana to cover the B1G logo on the Outback Bowl jersey for Saturday’s game is up for debate. What isn’t up for debate is that the Hoosiers are fired up and looking to make a statement against an SEC opponent.

During an abbreviated version of ESPN’s College GameDay, the crew on hand picked Saturday’s bowl games, including Indiana’s showdown with Ole Miss. Desmond Howard, David Pollack, and Mark Sanchez (presumably filling in for Kirk Herbstreit) all picked the Hoosiers to take down the Rebels.

Chris “Bear” Fallica also had the game on his “Bear’s Board” segment with Indiana entering the game as 9.5-point favorites. Bear picked Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss squad at +9.5 for the game, but he did still pick the Hoosiers to win outright.

Kickoff is set for 12:30 pm EST on ABC.
