Just a week after being cut by the Saints, former Indiana running back Stevie Scott has found a new home.

The Broncos announced Monday the team signed Scott. This is his second team already in his pro career, which began as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He will wear No. 32.

The move to bring in Scott comes on the heels of an injury to Denver running back Adrian Killins, which took place during the team’s second preseason game against Seattle. Killins was put on the waived/injured list in correlation to the Scott signing.

After going undrafted this spring, Scott was signed to camp by New Orleans. However, he was cut last week in a series of moves made by the team.

Prior to paving his way in the pros, Scott was a standout for the Hoosiers. He sits at fourth all-time in school history for rushing touchdowns and ninth in rushing yards. Scott is one of three Indiana players to ever score 10 touchdowns in three consecutive seasons. He came to Bloomington from Syracuse, New York, and was the 12th best running back in New York that year, according to Rivals.

Looking at the Denver running back room, it’s a crowded space Scott is joining. Other backs include Melvin Gordon III, Javonte Williams, Mike Boone, Royce Freeman, and Damarea Crockett.
