Kentucky head basketball coach John Calipari has said that over the next five years, his non-conference schedule is booked.

That isn’t stopping Indiana’s athletic director from being optimistic about a rivalry coming back to life:

“I continue to be optimistic,” Glass said. “I read the report, and I think there were some things that were lost in translation as far as what we’re willing to do in terms of venue. I’m optimistic we can continue to have those conversations and look forward to engaging in those conversations.”

The series between Kentucky-Indiana was discontinued after the 2011-12 season. The hope, of course, is that the series can make a return to the hardwood. At least, that seems to be the thought at Indiana.

As for Calipari and Kentucky? Maybe not as much.
