Due to the devastation and aftermath caused by Hurricane Irma over the weekend, Indiana and Florida International decided to cancel this Saturday’s game in Bloomington. But the two schools were able to come to an agreement which will bring the Panthers to Memorial Stadium in the future.

Tuesday night, CNHI’s Terry Hutchens tweeted that Indiana and FIU have rescheduled this year’s game for Aug. 31, 2024.

Indiana and FIU decided to cancel the game on Monday evening. Following the cancellation, IU athletic director Fred Glass worked to schedule another opponent to get the schedule back up to 12 total games.

Tuesday afternoon, the Hoosiers were able to strike an agreement with FCS squad Charleston Southern. The Bucs will travel to Bloomington on Oct. 7.

The Hoosiers will use this weekend as a bye before taking the field on Sept. 23 against Georgia Southern.
