Indiana lands 8th pledge for class of 2023 with commitment from OL out of Tennessee
Indiana made a move in the 2023 recruiting class Tuesday, picking up a pledge from an impressive offensive lineman out of Tennessee.
The player is Tyler “Bubba” Jeffries, a 6-foot-5 and 298 lb. offensive tackle out of Alcoa, Tennessee. Jeffries had generated offers from Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Miami, Florida State and Oregon, among others.
He becomes the 8th commitment for Indiana’s 2023 recruiting class.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Jeffries is a 3-star prospect for the class of 2023. He’s also rated as the No. 64 OT nationally for the cycle.
Indiana’s recruiting class for the cycle has been off to a slow start, something that head coach Tom Allen tackled on Tuesday. Heading into the start of fall camp, Allen admitted Indiana is likely to sign a smaller class for 2023 with a likely max of around 15 prospects. That is likely to keep the recruiting class from generating a high ranking nationally.
