Heading into the final week of the regular season, the coaching carousel is already in swing.

Though more head coach positions are bound to open up after the end of this season, a number of schools are already looking for head coaches. Among those schools is Florida State who fired Willie Taggart in the middle of his second season with the team.

As the search at Florida State is continuing, the list of names rumored to be in the running continues to grow. Per FootballScoop.com, Indiana’s Tom Allen is one coach that was vetted for the opening:

Sources tell FootballScoop Lane Kiffin has been vetted, as has Indiana head coach Tom Allen.

Also of note, FootballScoop is reporting that Florida State has come up empty in pursuits of Mark Stoops, Bob Stoops, James Franklin, Matt Rhule, and Matt Campbell.

Is Allen a serious candidate for the FSU job, and would he consider leaving Bloomington for the Seminoles? We will just have to wait and see.
