Tom Allen said both QB Peyton Ramsey and OL Coy Cronk 'did it the right way' at Indiana
You can either evolve with the times or get caught up in it all and never move on successfully. At Indiana, Tom Allen is evolving.
The transfer portal is a reality in the world of college football. Love it or hate it, it’s here. And while Allen is building something special at Indiana, he has lost two talented players to the portal in a month’s time recently.
Quarterback Peyton Ramsey — who stepped in for injured starter Michael Penix Jr. this past season — announced he was entering the portal in late January. Coy Cronk, a starting left tackle, entered his name into the portal more toward the beginning of January.

Allen would have loved to see both players stay, but, he gets it. Cronk is moving on to Iowa and Ramsey hasn’t been snatched up from the portal yet.
Here’s Allen on both players:

Transfer portal? You’re leaving?
That’s OK. As Allen said, they did it the right way. He wishes them both the best. It’s 2020 and players came and go. That’s the world we live in and there’s no reason to hold grudges because of it.
