Caitlin Clark receives surprise graduation ceremony from Indiana Fever teammates
Caitlin Clark was not able to attend Iowa’s graduation ceremony over the weekend. Such is life as the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft.
Missing the ceremony had to undoubtedly be bittersweet for Clark after her hard work on and off the court while with the Hawkeyes. However, she remained with the Fever to continue preparing for the regular season with Indiana’s first game of the season coming Tuesday, May 14.
Fortunately, Clark’s Fever teammates had her back, arranging an impromptu graduation ceremony for Clark prior to Sunday’s practice. It included Aliyah Boston presenting Clark with a “Certificate of Graduation.”

Clark’s preseason performances started with a bang, but she has not been immune from the expected struggles facing any rookie. The Hawkeye legend is still widely expected to become the Rookie of the Year after a record-breaking career for Iowa.
Clark’s first regular season game will come against the Connecticut Sun, a playoff team a season ago. ESPN Bet has Clark’s Fever as a 5.5-point underdog for the matchup. Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm ET and the game will be broadcast via ESPN2 and Disney+.
