Former Iowa QB announced as MAC West offensive Player of the Week
Iowa QB Nate Stanley is a good one.
He’s had his ups and downs, but typically, Hawkeye fans can feel good about Stanley going into Saturday. In the win over Iowa State on Saturday, Stanley completed 16-of-28 passes for 166 yards. He didn’t throw a TD pass, but he didn’t turn the ball over, either.
This past week for a former Iowa QB did go quite well, though. Now on Eastern Michigan, QB Tyler Wiegers — a former Hawkeye — earned MAC West offensive Player of the Week honors.
Wiegers, against Purdue, helped the Eagles pull off an upset.

Wiegers completed 20-of-28 passes for 312 yards and a TD to lead the 20-19 upset.
