Iowa will be without forward Patrick McCaffery for Monday night’s home game against Northwestern. The school announced that McCaffery is dealing with a hip injury and is day-to-day.

This season, McCaffery has appeared in 26 games. He averages 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 25.1 minutes per game. In Iowa’s 88-78 win at Nebraska on Friday, McCaffery played 21 minutes, recording 10 points and 2 rebounds.

The No. 24 Hawkeyes have won 6 of their last 7 games entering the Northwestern game. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET, airing on the Big Ten Network.

The Big Ten basketball regular season is in its final week. Following Monday night’s game against the Wildcats, the Hawkeyes will travel to Michigan to take on the Wolverines, Thursday, March 3. UM is the last team to beat Iowa, 84-79, on Feb. 17. Iowa wraps up the 2022 regular season at No. 20 Illinois. The Illini won 87-83 in Iowa City on Dec. 6, 2021. We’ll see if McCaffery returns before the B1G Tournament.
