Nate Stanley hasn’t won a Heisman Trophy, but Hawkeye fans can agree that he has done good things at Iowa.

Stanley, to this point in his collegiate career, has thrown for over 6,000 yards, 58 TD and 16 INT. Just this year, the senior QB has thrown 6 TD to zero INT. Stanley may not be throwing for 400 yards per game, but he also isn’t turning the ball over.

There’s something to be said for that.

There is also something to be said for the intangibles that Stanley gives your team. Well, to be a matter of fact, Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz doesn’t think this is something to be said for that:

“A guy like Nate, that’s what you can’t necessarily put into words what he does for you,” Ferentz said. “He’s just in total command out there.”

More of what Ferentz said about Stanley can be read here.

Ferrentz talked quite a bit about his signal caller, and, rightfully so. Unless you’ve got the next Michael Vick or obvious No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, what more can you ask for from your QB that Stanley doesn’t give you?

There’s a reason why Iowa is 3-0 this season, went 9-4 last season, 8-5 the year before and 8-5 back in 2016. Stanley is certainly deserving of being part of that reason.
