Iowa got the huge road win over its rival Minnesota 13-10 to receive the Floyd of Rosedale Trophy. After the game, Iowa trolled its rival on Twitter with the Whac-A-Gopher picture with the score.

The Hawkeyes even had fun with PJ Fleck’s “Row the Boat” mantra, calling the win in Minneapolis a “Row’d” win.

The defense of Iowa had some rough moments by allowing 399 total yards from the offense of Minnesota. Golden Gophers running back Mohamed Ibrahim had a huge performance by rushing for 263 yards and a touchdown on 39 carries.

The last three drives of Minnesota resulted in either turnovers or a turnover on downs. Defensive lineman Deontae Craig recovered a fumble from Ibrahim while linebacker Jack Campbell accounted for his 5th career interception.

The offense of Iowa was able to not turn the ball over and give Minnesota any momentum, especially toward the end of the game. Iowa quarterback Spencer Petras completed 15-of-24 of his passes for 221 yards.

Iowa has now won 8 consecutive matchups against Minnesota as well as 10 of the last 11 games in the series.
