Kirk Ferentz provides early outlook for Erick All injury
Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes lost another key contributor in Saturday’s win over Wisconsin. Unfortunately, the early outlook is negative regarding the status of tight end Erick All.
Without Luke Lachey in the lineup, All had developed into a go-to target for the Hawkeyes and was the team’s leading receiver entering Week 7. Unfortunately, he was injured in what appeared to be a nasty right knee injury.
All was eventually seen being carted back to the locker room and did not return to action. After the game, Ferentz admitted the early outlook is “not good” but the head coach will have a better understanding of the injury on Tuesday.
Kirk Ferentz says that TE Erick All’s injury is “not good” but will know early next week.
Said he wishes he had good news, but no bad news, yet.

That is certainly a personal blow for All and it’s a big blow to the Hawkeyes as a team. Iowa is already without starting QB Cade McNamara and Lachey, adding to increased offensive woes this season.
Despite the injury, Iowa QB Deacon Hill praised All for remaining upbeat despite the injury. That is good to hear from All, but it does not change the sting of the injury.
Deacon Hill points out Erick All’s positivity. After the injury, Erick was on the sidelines cracking jokes and cheering on his team.
“I don’t how how he’s cracking jokes given the situation, but that’s just Erick.”
