Early in the second half, Luka Garza secured a double-double to close out his career at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Before the first media timeout of the second half, Garza totaled 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to add another double-double to his season total. That puts his number of to 12 for the year, as Iowa takes on Wisconsin in the regular season finale.

Garza had 11 points and 9 rebounds through the first half, coming one board shy of hitting the mark in the first 20 minutes. Not a bad way for the National Player of the Year candidate to go out.

Garza has been the team’s leading scorer and rebounder this year, averaging 23.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game for the Hawkeyes. Iowa is 19-7 on the season and 13-6 in B1G play. A win over the Badgers and it will secure the No. 3 seed in the B1G Tournament.

Iowa is playing the second half without Joe Wieskamp, who sustained an ankle injury 12 minutes into the game.
