Tory Taylor was left off of the Ray Guy Award semifinalist list on Monday. The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman posted his comments about it.

Taylor is averaging 45.3 yards per punt this season. The Iowa P also has 16 punts inside the ten-yard line and 13 inside the 6-yard line.

He called out the award for showing bias towards punters in the south.

“They’re pretty biased for those guys down south,” said Taylor. “I don’t really care. You can tell them, I don’t really give a **** honestly.”

Bryce Baringer (Michigan State), Adam Korsak (Rutgers), and Jesse Mirco (Ohio State) were the players who were chosen from the B1G.

Taylor has definitely made a case to be considered for the award. Taylor has been one of the few bright spots on Iowa this season, flipping field position with ease.

Is Taylor right to feel that there is some bias? His numbers speak for themselves.
