The college football season for Maryland has come and gone in 2019. All that remains is recruiting.

But aside from that, Terrapins basketball takes center stage. Expectations were big coming into the 2019-20 season, but as of late, Maryland has stumbled a bit.

The Terrapins barely got by unranked Illinois a few nights ago, winning 59-58 and then followed that up with their first loss of the season — to Penn State — 76-69. On Thursday night against Seton Hall, it got worse.

Maryland lost 52-48. And while the four-point differential is closer than the seven-point loss to the Nittany Lions, the ugliness of the offense was incredible to watch.

Incredible in a bad way.

Take a look at this statistic. It’s all you need to know about how the game went against Seton Hall:

Seton Hall had 15 blocked shots in the game. Over 40 minutes, Maryland only made 14 shots. The Terrapins made 14 of their 52 shots taken (26.9%).

That, folks, is eye-popping.

Maryland will try to break its two-game losing streak on Sunday, Dec. 29 at home against Bryant.
