Maryland lost one of its top local commits while getting blown out by Ohio State
Maryland’s bleak season is looking even uglier on Saturday.
The Terrapins entered Week 11 desperate for a win but up against a tough task against No. 1 Ohio State. Unfortunately, the first half did not go well for Maryland.
Ohio State carried a 42-0 lead into halftime with the Buckeyes running up the score in the first half. Ryan Day’s squad is firing on all cylinders and not looking to slow down.
The blowout on the field is not the only hit Maryland took Saturday. Jordan White, a three-star OL for the 2020 class out of DeMatha Catholic High School, announced he was decommitting from Maryland.
He shared his announcement on Twitter during halftime:
With all do respect to whom it may concern, my family and I believe that it is in my best interest to Open Up My Recruitment Process and Decommit from The University of Maryland to make sure that I am making the best decision for myself and my future.
No further questions please

It’s worth mentioning that Ohio State appeared to be trying to run the score up on Maryland, even late in the first half. The FOX broadcast briefly speculated that it was potentially related to the suspension for Ohio State’s Chase Young.
While all of that is simply speculation, it’s worth noting that White hails from the same high school as Young out of Hyattsville, Maryland.
