Wednesday marks the 2019 National Signing Day.

As we all know, this is when prospects sign their names and become official members of a particular program. For Maryland, the Terrapins are undergoing quite the overhaul.

It’s not just an influx of new players coming in — it’s a fairly new coaching staff as well. Mike Locksley, former known as the offensive coordinator at Alabama, is the newest head coach at Maryland.

It’s all starting for Locksley in 2019. With that, comes the late insertion of prospects looking to play under Locksley at Maryland.

On National Signing Day, the Terps got a big signing as 4-star QB Lance LeGendre went away from the anticipated choice of Florida State and joined Maryland.

What did Locksley and his coaching staff do to celebrate?

Take a look:

This is pretty special to watch if you’re LeGendre — or any Maryland fan for that matter. It looks as though Locksley is celebrating what he hopes to be his team’s leader at QB for the next few years.

If LeGendre can generate this type of buzz just by signing with the Terrapins, we’ll have to wait and see how people react to his play on the field in the near future.
