Aidan Hutchinson up for comeback player award after season-ending injury in 2020
Michigan star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson continues to add accolades and awards for his sensational season. Hutchinson just recently captured the Lombardi Award and is a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
The dominant defender is now also a semifinalist for the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year. Hutchinson suffered a season-ending ankle injury last season:

The winner will be announced during the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1, 2022.
Hutchinson tallied 58 tackles, 15.5 TFL, and 14 sacks this season. He also added 2 forced fumbles and 3 passes defended. The highly touted draft prospect recorded 4 tackles and a sack in the victory vs. Iowa after amassing 7 tackles with 3 sacks in the win vs. Ohio State.
No. 2 Michigan is 12-1 overall and captured the B1G title. The Wolverines will face No. 3 Georgia on Dec. 31 for a College Football Playoff semifinal matchup at the Capital One Orange Bowl.
