Donovan Edwards has staked Michigan to a huge first-half lead on the work of two electric rushing scores for the Wolverines!

On the first drive of the game, Edwards gashed Washington on a huge 2nd-and-long play. That run covered 41 yards as the Wolverines opened the scoring without facing a 3rd-down.

During the second drive of the game, Michigan also found paydirt with Edwards delivering another home run carry. On a 2nd-and-10 carry, Edwards once again drew the defense in before cutting to the outside. He was off to the races, covering 46 yards and putting Michigan up 14-3 in the first half.

It is still early in the game as we prepare to hit the second quarter, but Washington is having major problems dealing with Michigan’s running game. Edwards has 87 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first quarter, and the Wolverines are already over 170 rushing yards.

A huge run by Blake Corum to finish the first quarter has the Wolverines threatening to add on. Right now, Washington needs a response or things could turn into a blowout in Houston.
