The number of major recruits committing to Michigan this month continues to increase.

On Thursday, the Wolverines added another big-time pickup to the 2020 recruiting class, this time in the form of one of the top running backs in the cycle. Four-star athlete Blake Corum announced that he will be playing college football in Ann Arbor, picking UM over a plethora of offers.

Corum is ranked as the No. 202 player in the class and is considered to be one of the best backs this cycle. He made his announcement in a video that he posted to his Twitter account.

A Laurel, Maryland native, Corum is ranked as the No. 17 running back in the class. He’s an explosive runner with excellent speed and great vision. He’s also one of the more elusive players in the 2020 class.

247Sports also has Corum listed as the No. 8 player out of Maryland.

Corum had a slew of Power Five offers, but chose Michigan over more than two dozen offers. Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Pitt, USC and Wisconsin were among the top offers he held.

Corum is the first running back to join Michigan’s 2020 class but the 18th member of the group. With his commitment, the Wolverines now own the nation’s eighth-best recruiting class. It is just one spot behind Ohio State, which sits at No. 7.
