Jesse Minter, Michigan DC, linked to NFL defensive coordinator position
Jesse Minter has interviewed for the defensive coordinator job with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to a report.
That’s per the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, who notes that the Eagles are also interviewing candidates from the NFL.
Among the #Eagles defensive coordinator interviews to date: #Rams DBs coach/pass game coordinator Chris Shula and Michigan DC Jesse Minter, sources say. Shula and Nick Sirianni were together on the #Chargers’ coaching staff 2015-16.

The Eagles have also interviewed former Wisconsin defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard for the role, per a report.
Minter just finished his 1st season in Ann Arbor. He was previously the defensive coordinator at Vanderbilt. However, Minter has significant NFL experience in his career as well.
Prior to joining the Commodores, Minter was an assistant with the Baltimore Ravens from 2017-2021. He worked in a variety of roles with the Ravens, including defensive backs coach in 2021.
Michigan’s defense was one of the top units in the country in 2022. The Wolverines allowed just 4.65 yards per play, which ranked 7th nationally. That was a major reason why Michigan made it back to the College Football Playoff again in 2022.
