Jim Harbaugh reportedly has new representation.

According to ESPN insiders Adam Schefter and Pete Thamel, Harbaugh has hired agent Don Yee to represent him. Yee is known for representing Tom Brady and Sean Payton. Harbaugh’s change in representation comes as he has some big career decisions to make.

Michigan has reportedly offered Harbaugh a new 10-year deal worth $125 million. The contract is said to include a clause about not pursuing an NFL coaching job for one year. There has been no signing announcement since last week’s report.

Throughout the 2023 season there has been speculation about Harbaugh potentially returning to the NFL. The Michigan head coach is dealing with two ongoing investigations that have already led to suspensions.

Harbaugh served a self-imposed 3-game suspension as Michigan’s acknowledgement of alleged NCAA recruiting violations. That case has now reached the Notice of Allegations stage with the NCAA.

Harbaugh was later suspended for Michigan’s final 3 regular-season games by the Big Ten for alleged in-person scouting and sign-stealing. The NCAA continues to investigate the matter.

In November, college football insider Bruce Feldman reported that Harbaugh could be suspended for the bulk of the 2024 season if he returns to Michigan. FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer shared last month that NFL teams are not bothered by the sign-stealing scandal.

Harbaugh has recently been linked to the Los Angeles Chargers opening. He sidestepped questions about NFL rumors and the Chargers during a recent Rose Bowl media opportunity.
