Jim Harbaugh, JJ McCarthy gift Rose Bowl game ball to pediatric cancer patient
Jim Harbaugh and JJ McCarthy continue to celebrate the Rose Bowl win for Michigan. But this time, the Michigan coach and quarterback gifted the game ball to a baby battling cancer.
Todd J. Anson shared that his grandson, Knox, received the special gift as he’s battling Neuroblastoma, and the coach and quarterback also dedicated the game to Knox.
Jim & Sarah popped in Sunday unexpectedly to deliver our little Neuroblastoma cancer patient, Grandson Knox, the Rose Bowl Game Ball in our victory over Bama after Jim & JJ dedicated game to him.
We also celebrated the National Championship win!
We are deeply grateful. 💙💛 pic.twitter.com/qiHJzq07jC

This is not the first time Michigan football has helped a cancer patient. It happened in 2022 when an 18-year-old with bone cancer lived a dream by scoring a touchdown in the Big House.
While Harbaugh’s Michigan future appears unclear, it’s a heart-warming story to see him visit with cancer patients as he’s weighing a possible coaching change.
A week after led Michigan to a national title, multiple reports out of the NFL suggest Harbaugh will meet with the Los Angeles Chargers about their head coaching vacancy this week. While Harbaugh explores the NFL, he’s also considering a return to Michigan, and has asked for specific contract terms to address possible NCAA sanctions.
