Could Jim Harbaugh really make the plunge back into NFL coaching?

Well, in a new report released on Monday, Harbaugh could possibly be leaving Michigan for an NFL team. Then again, the rumor mill has stayed busy, especially with this news.

With Michigan’s season ending in the Fiesta Bowl to TCU, Harbaugh’s name is once again circulating as a possibility for NFL vacancies. According to a report from author John U. Bacon, there is once again a real possibility for Harbaugh to leave for the pros.

Bacon also reports the situation could happen quickly if it does happen. And if Harbaugh does leave Ann Arbor, Bacon reports it would be in part due to a growing frustration with college football itself and not any particular feelings about Michigan.

Harbaugh is reportedly a potential target for the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, but it has yet to be determined how true these rumors continue to be. He has formerly coached in the NFL and is no stranger to the dynamics in the pros. Harbaugh coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014 ending with a record of 44-19-1 before heading to Michigan.

For now, we will wait and see what happens for Harbaugh and how the NFL will respond.
